There's two exchange students at my school atm - two guys, one from France, one from Switzerland.
The French kid is alright (better looking than the one we had a while back). He seems like a smart guy, he's in my Physics, IT, and Methods classes. Quite polite, rebuked someone when he claimed France was a refugee camp. Has asked me to explain the KKK and Twitter when I've bought them up. The Swiss guy is sitting in my English Language class and my friends are all drooling over him. It's like - he's Swiss, not a king! Maybe I should learn a language and go to Europe for a while

The English Language teacher is now discussing his introduction to the word 'yeet'.

So, now there's a chance I might not be able to host my parties at the local art space I've come to love and know inside and out anymore. They're in tough spot right now financially, I totally get that. And they're not sure if they want to host bigger non-exhibition related events there anymore. Which I get as well. I don't want to bother anyone and I'm quite grateful that they granted me to do this up until now. And I know when push comes to shove I'll find another venue, I've got enough connections to pull that off. But if that turns out to be it, it still kind of leaves a sore taste in my mouth to find that out in a casual conversation. I've supported that place in several ways and I've grown very fond of it. Also it's quite a unique place to host events at. Wouldn't want that to be the end of a chapter. It's still not set in stone that it is going to be that way and obviously, I'm still gonna go there on my own to work on projects and to socialize with people. But still, the thought of it kind of saddens me. Whatever, just came here to vent. Sorry

We always split the revenue. And we always made sure that the our amount of the equation is cool with both sides and that it is advantageous for the art space. Hell, I once even pretty much bought most of the beverages out of my own pocket and then just let them have all the revenue. Obviously, I can't and won't always do that. Last time we had a pretty good run and our cut was very good. But I try to make both sides happy. I'm just happy if some of my expenses get some relief, that's all. |

Whatever, it's whispers and murmurs right now. But I think I better start looking for option B or C regarding my next two events soon. Better safe than sorry.

there is a really stupid business book about the cheese, it’s corny as fuck, a horror really, hard to read without puking— but it’s got some nice ideas about always being ready to adapt and go where you need to go to find your... ahem.. “cheese” lmao. i am so embarrassed to peddle that here but if you can scrape the shit frosting there is a useful cake underneath hahahaha i wont say the name though. too embarrassing. |

the book i mentioned is some horrible horrible horrible fable.i mean it was written like... the worst thing ever. but what it does really well is look at the psychology of the resistance to change when one should actually embrace it and profit from the new opportunities. anyway—i am sure you’ll be fine! |

The Mullet-craze has apparently hit Austria now. I gather that was a thing (again) in the States about two years ago or so. The weird thing about it? There are a few people who can actually pull that off. Never thought I'd say that. And it feels wrong. But I won't lie. Some people own their sensible, Bowie-esqe Mullet. It's some kind of superpower, I guess.

So far, twelve people from my IT class have responded to my music survey.
0% of them have heard of Sonic Youth.
