I liked Old School. I liked Anchorman. I liked Stranger Than Fiction. I liked him in Winter Crossing. But more than films, I thought he was great on SNL.

Old School is tolerable, but I thougth he was the worst part. Hated Anchorman with every inch of my being. Never saw Stranger than Fiction, though I dunno if I could take him seriously anyway.
Him and Ben Stiller and Jack Black are the worst 3 "comedians" in the history of films. |

I disagree. I think all 3 are neither the best nor the worst.

Are they comedic geniuses? Not really. Are they funnier than Carrot Top? Friggin' A.

I will agree on the suckitude of will ferrell (mainly because he sticks too much to his bumbling child-man persona) and of the insanely terrible comedic stylings of Ben Stiller.
I only like him when he is playing straight, like in tannenbaums, and in mystery men.

Jack Black is a live performer, and that is where he shines. on film, he is asked to play his "persona" and it tends to suck.
I liked him in high fidelity and in school of rock, because they let him play a character more.

Jack Black was great in High Fidelity. And yeah, Stiller was excellent in Tanenbaums.

By the way, the WORST comedians are those blue collar tour people. Larry the Cableguy and all that shit. Horrendous.

This was totally cool.
Follow Basquiat around as he picks up a model, gets kicked out of his apartment and sees performances by the Lounge Lizards, the Plastics, DNA, James White and the Blacks and Kid Creole and the Coconuts. It's a little slow but it's worth the many payoffs. I'd never listened to the Plastics before - I'll pick something up from them now.

You definitely should. It's nowhere near my personal favorite from Korine, but some of it's imagery is simply outstanding.
