requiem for a dream is one of the worst films ever.
Also.. something I've noticed... Sonatine gets better every time you watch it. |

YES! Phantom of Regular Size rules. I just saw HAZE for the first time recently, so I've seen all of his films now. Electric Rod Boy is cool too.

Pineapple express
I give it an 8/10. some very funny stoner stuff, dragged a bit, but I liked the relationships bvetrween the various dope dealers.

Billy Liar.
I've read the book a few times (which I think deals with similar themes to The Catcher In The Rye but is superior and deserves to be better-known - and I like The Catcher In The Rye) and I didn't know how they could make a film out of it but it's brilliant. The direction is suprisingly inventive, kind of 'British new wave' - if it wasn't for the fashions of the older characters, you would swear that it was made a decade later. All of the performances are spot-on. I never realised Julie Christie used to be so good-looking either. It's got everything, really. |

I thought Step Brothers was a lot funnier than I expected. Stupid fun. I liked it. Probably won't watch it again ever though. But laughed plenty.

the strangers = superlame. the director just makes the camera shake a bit to induce fear and uneasiness in the viewer. and some loud noises from time to time. graundbreaking, eh.
captivity = even lamer, even considering bouncing boobs etc etc step brothers = kinda lame. sometimes it's funny as noiserudctions said, but the quality is almost tv series like at the most. good days, ahoy. I'll watch "the host" and "antarctic journal" asap.

The Strangers was okay, but like you said, most of the scares came form load noises.
Captivity was terrible. Even with Elisha. I hated The Host. |
