Saw IV, I got Showtime and they show all those new horrer films. I wish they showed more 80's horrer on Showtime like all those 'Dead' movies. Would love to see "Return of the Living Dead" again.

Devil's Rejects, an MTV documentary about people hiding in hotel rooms for 2 hours, driving around listening to "Freebird" in slow motion while the camera zooms in on their ugly faces, and 2 tough guys (one of them being DDP) who violently.. uh... call a cop with information! The best nu-horror film of all time.

Nah, House was entertaining, even though it peters out a bit at the end and the annoying music video editing got on my nerves. But it had some genuinely funny and interesting parts and even a part that was somewhat disturbing. Also, the slow motion zoom out of the cop being shot was amazing.
Devil's Rejects has absolutely nothing going for it. Oh wait, a flesh skin mask (homage to Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, of course) and a girl getting hit by a truck when she runs out of one of the hotel rooms the killers hide at. That part's okay, even though the truck-suddenly-hitting-someone has been done way better in a lot of other horror movies. |

H1KC and TDR are both very different films and are each wildly entertaining in their own way. I really like the gritty 70's and Western vibes of TDR.
And for the record: I think that music-video style of H1KC really helps add to the claustrophobic nature of the film. Especially with the multitude of colored lighting. |

I liked that too. I didn't say it was the worst movie ever made or anything. I wasn't disappointed, I don't really go into movies with expectations. I appreciate he made something different, I just wish it was entertaining. I mean, I dunno, 10 minutes of "Freebird" playing while the camera zooms in and out on blood- and sweat-soaked natty-haired assholes driving down the road, to me, is not entertaining, "epic", artful, thought-provoking, or anything else. I mean, I have plenty of problems with that film, but that scene alone is so bad that it's hilarious.
At least Sherrii Moon has a nice ass. |

House of a Thousand was my favorite. I liked Halloween better than Devil's. But I like them all. They're entertaining and feel like they're made by a horror fan.

Yeah, Zombie is a horror movie fan. So is Eli Roth. So are a thousand shitty directors making shitty horror movies.

The entire Maniac Cop series is amazing. Two is my favorite of the 3, though. William Lustig is an amazing director.
Though as far as crazy cop movies go... I mean, you know, Vampire Cop, Beast Cop, Angel Cop, Zombie Cop... by far the best is PSYCHO COP 2. |
