I really hated the movie Vertigo. In my opinion it was full of Kitsch and the ending was the only good thing about it. If I think about 50's cinema the first films that come to my mind are Rashômon and Witness for the Prosecution, not Vertigo!

I agree, Batman was his best film. I haven't seen the other one you mentioned. But I like Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Beatlejuice too! Those are great early burton films! For what they are. |

I talk with my mom alot about this, since I had a hard time in school because of legit ADD. Not one of those (lets just say he has a.d.d. cuz he's hyper) type of things. ANd I always felt that I didn't learn a damn thing in school, I dont remember anything, and all I feel they did is cram a bunch of shit into yr subconcious. But anyways, yeah, she was saying how teachers used to actually teach you things and it was about meaningful shit and not just cram cram cram. And also if something really important was going on in the world they'd stop class and talk about it. Not like my experience at all. & she still remembers so many things from when she was young and all throughout schooling. Education used to educate. |

I think Vertigo is really good. Not perfect though. My favorite Hitchcock movie is probably ROPE (I know everyone's going to disagree with that; I think it's just brilliant, conceptually and otherwise).
Also, Target kinda rules. They always have good shit. I hate wal-mart. I work there, and I hate it... I've always hated it. Pays well, good benefits, and is easy though. The only good pizza place is Little Caesar's. (or Mancino's, but none of you know what that is) |

Dragonball Z.. I loved it as a kid, though I remember a good 50 episodes in a row where Goku was running on a highway...
when they announced a Dragonball movie "trilogy", I said (on here, I think), "What is the trilogy going to be? One whole movie of them powering up, one whole movie of a battle (about 45 minutes of which will be them screaming each other's names... "VEGETAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "gOKUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!"), and one whole movie of the aftermath?" |

Someone above mentioned something about the US being a place you can find almost any type of person. I agree and think that's an awesome thing. What twists peoples panties is the fact that their beliefs aren't nationwide and not everyone agrees with them. I think that's actually a good thing too. A nice balance of shit and also a good filter for finding people you'd get along with more.
