I've got that shirt! Plus a blue one with white hands, and two more recent tour shirts. I've always wanted some of the really old ones (I like the designs better), but no one seems to want to list them on eBay for me. Same goes for classic Rapeman shirts.

I found one dude that was screen printing the 'Two Nuns and a Pack Mule' cover, but never anything else. I look from time to time. Maybe I need to step up and check once a day.

I love the Boredoms.
Honestly, my favorite album is probably Onanie Bomb Meets the Sex Pistols just for being so absolutely obnoxiously punk rock to the point of being hilarious. But I'm definitely really into the '90s electronic/psych stuff more as far as frequent listening. It just seems like good spacy music to me most of the time. Not exactly in need of heavy analysis, but certainly getting stoned or being naturally there helps a lot. |

One's the Japanese release (the Warner one), the other's for the western world.
Musically? The difference = nada. |

I find it difficult to believe anyone could dislike the record "vision creation newsun". I can see how someone maybe would not totally appreciate their other records for whatever reason, but VCN is a perfect record.
Will always love Boredoms more than life itself, specifically for "Super Going" which is probably my favorite song of all time. |

I didn't get them until I saw them play live. Once you've experienced them performing, I think it's near impossible not to be blown away by them.
You know how you see some films where there's a voodoo ceremony, and there's these guys in a kind of ecstatic trance, possessed by the voodoo drumming and the chanting? That's what Boredoms live was like for me. Only without the voodoo. |

Boredoms are amazing. Genius. Unbelievable. Mindblowing. Jawdropping. Godlike. Really difficult to believe that human beings just like you and I created music like this. The only band currently around deserved to be called geniuses. Up there with the Sun City Girls, Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band, John Fahey, etc. as the best music I've heard in my entire life.
Derek, listen to Super AE today... You have some of the best taste in music on this board, I find it impossible to believe that there's a possibility you won't love this record. It's life changingly good. I really feel like Boredoms are the only band I can call LIFE CHANGING. It made me completely look at music, sound, etc in different ways. I just have gotten lost in the worlds they create so many times. Just... jesus... QUALITY. Quality music. And all the side projects.. Omoide Hatoba, Psycho Baba, OOIOO, Rovo, etc... are usually just as good, sometimes even better. Really, Boredoms + all side projects = the largest amount of amazing music ever created in history. That's really all there is to it. |
