Spinal Tap did "Stone'enge", complete with an inflatable monument and two dwarf monks. A solid performance from this little-known beat combo.

Lauren Laverne looks positively marriage-worthy in her green coat.

The Specials' set is good so far - and look, Jerry Dammers is there as well! - but please, lose that over-eager bongo player.

he's complete crap isn't he? I'm only watching him cos it's too humid to go to bed and there's some even more rubbish acoustic thing going on on the main channel.

Much as i love Jarvis, he cant be a headliner on the back of the songs he's done, Pulp were a wonder packed inside a dream, but hes being treated like these songs are loved by all and sundry when they arent.
Ian Browns solo career (which was alot better than alot of the Stone Roses stuff, that probably belongs in the unpopular opinions thread) managed to justify a big headline slot, Jarvis' just dont

Yeah, I'm surprised Eavis didn't put a clause in the contract saying either he plays Common People or he's gonna be put in the acoustic tent alongside Michelle Shocked.

I've been looking at some other Glasto stuff on the BBC:
Neil Young - An 11 minute version of "Rocking In The Free World", with many a false ending - Crazy Horse providing ample back-up for Young's impassioned reading of this standard. Slight caveat - is it just me, or does the Young one have just one guitar solo mode? Lady Gaga - Costume changes ahoy (inc. wearing some alarming bubble dress), and camp dancers in the house. Had a bit of a mentalist moment on "Poker Face", where she started playing it solo on the old joanna, and was doing increasingly odd contortions. A pop-lite noughties Madonna? Little Boots - more electro-pop fare, this time from these shores. Ms Boots seemed jolly enough (dedicating a song to her mum), and the tunes weren't wildly offensive, but to be honest I found her set pretty underwhelming. N.E.R.D. - Pharrell and, er, the other one rocking the house with their rock-rap choonage. They played all the hits, and got the crowd making some melon-farming noise. The Ting Tings - Pure effortless Win from Katie and Jules - totally upbeat and energetic, with choons aplenty and mucho energy.
