yes, yes.
there are many studies about it. you just have to see the increase in plastic surgeries: boobs, "designer vagina", teenagers taking viagra and so on. a number of psychologists claim to be treating people with porn addictions (in extreme cases, they'll even quit their jobs), people who prefer masturbation over real sex (and of course their partners aren't happy about it) and people who cannot have sex unless they are watching porn. i saw an article the other day in which a good number of teenagers nowadays claim their first sexual experiences are "disappointing" compared to what they imagined because of porn. it's a bit of a disaster.

that's why i am pro keeping kids away from porn until they are old and wise enough to see it in perspective. my youngest brother told me he'd be extremely grossed out by a woman with pubic hair, because in his opinion 'no one has hair there today. it's abnormal.' i don't like porn. whenever i see it, it always seems so very fake and weird- two people who barely know each other just start doing something that needs a certain level of intimacy (in my opinion) it's like synthetic sex. |

you're right. what your brother said is very disturbing - but I heard many grown men say the same. The idea of keeping people away doesn't seem real. I'd say the problem is not porn itself - but how it is today and what interests it has been serving. It's also not real because porn is everywhere - from doll factories, to mainstream pop songs and advertising. the other day I got the chance to look at some "erotic" book from the 40s in an antique shop. It looks almost like poetry compared to the porn we see today. But, above all, it looked very REAL. Real bodies, real faces, situations. Also, these "caracthers" seemed to have a personality and preferences of their own. You could say it almost estimulated imagination rather than killing it. baudrillard had predicted that one day the "unreal" or "above real" would become more important than reality. Hyperreality, porn is hypersex.

Hentai would be a lot sexier if it looked like animated Hokusai wood cuts:

i think it's a matter of how much time you invest in knowing A PRIMITIVE THING what today is called sex
instead of letting people fear you and get plastic sirgury and all other things people copy why? you should ask those people why what people can do is invest more time in knowing what this primitive thing sex is al about so you have something rationally to say about it in modern days if people take that trend then you have more modern humans who don't let them play their fears and say you have to love me the way i was born' something like that or i'm not an experimental ape that is adapting to insanity |

i think it's not impossible to keep porn away from young kids... one thing to do is to make sure they don't have a computer in their room. when me and my older brother were younger, the computer was in the living room, so there was no way to surf the web unsupervised. what bugs me the most is that all the mystery and excitement are gone. or as someone else put it: "when i was a kid you were lucky to catch sight of a boob here and there, and that would be enough for a month or two to go all crazy about. but nowadays kids have seen everything, in color and high definition, before they even realize what sex can mean to people!" |

I agree that kids shouldn't look at porn. But I strongly think at some point they will. It'd be nice if it was more... you know, educational than it is. Because I suppose currently boys think girls want to lose their virginity doggy style. I think the fact that your brother finds pubic hair gross won't do him any favors in real life anf real relationships unless he grows out of that. But I also think that doing everything in order for them "not to do it" will probably make them find porn even more exciting and go for it at some point.

of course they will look at porn at a certain moment, you can't stop that. but there are things you can do to make sure a 12 year old doesn't watch porn on a regular basis, like my little brother did... he seems to have some issues with the reality of human beings. when a tampon commercial is showing on tv he cringes and starts yelling how they 'shouldn't show that disgusting stuff on tv, because no one wants to know that!' i asked him what he would do if he lived with someone and she was on her period, and the conversation went a bit like this: 'i wouldn't want to know anything about it. she should keep all that stuff hidden from me. it's revolting' 'but... it's a perfectly natural body function, like going to the bathroom' 'well i don't want to know about that either! ew!' i wonder how he'll look at that when he does have a relationship and shares a hotel room with a girl for a few days. i mean that kids will always go look for it. and wit today's society, it's extremely hard to keep them away from it. but in my opinion it is a parent's task to at leasth have an idea of what your child sees, so you're able to give it a perspective. when my dad caught my little brother watching, he just turned away and mumbled 'oh dear' while i think it would have been better if he had pointed out that what he was seeing is not like real life at all. |

I think the tentacles help give depth to the beauty of the female figure. Tentacle porn and erotica, while very rarely well done (that Cthuluesque image is pretty damn cheesy) is polymorphously perverse, something that I think all humans are but is rarely display in pornography. Most pornography focuses on a few locations as being sexual or sensual, but every square inch of the human body is sensual. I think the tentacles writhing on her belly, on her sides, around her neck, on her sides, and around her arms and legs illustrate that the woman is more than just a couple parts. |

You are right. But what I'm trying to say is that porn is not necessarily evil, but the way it is made today.
