I'm still surprised this hasn't tanked. I was totally wrong! I do think at some point the kids will have moved on, leaving a shell only used by commercial enterprises to which no one pays any attention.
Facebook shares rose 0.8 percent to $77.89 at the close in New York, valuing the company at $201.6 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. That made it the 22nd-largest company in the world, behind Verizon Communications Inc. and ahead of Toyota Motor Corp. |

Why take such a stupid risk which actual money? You forget that before the 20th century there were alternate currencies and there was international coinage for big trade. People used local bartering and currencies whose values were defined sub-locally and only used "official" gold, silver, or even brass coinage for international trade. However, people have increasingly shifted towards centralized currency for the security it ensures. People LIKE using centralized currencies, they have a longer shelf life, are more universally usable, and are very convenient. If you want to trade using salt bars or seashells and beads suit yourself, but that anachronisms don't make for great economics. I got a close friend who swears everybody should do this shit too, but its so hopeless naive so as to not even be funny. Bitcoin is essentially nuanced gambling Quote:
I love this post for so many reasons

as most of them. lies. the thing with the P/E ratio is that given normal times, although it reflects the present, it ignores it many times and relies on the psychology about a good future. eitherway, stock etc markets are all about prospects. i m so glad stock market is living its decay. its unfair for maybe a handful of good companies and its a shame that when it 'rises' again from its dusts, the same shit will be happening. |

i didnt forget that whole block of information. it does not seem relevant to my goal of not homeless. also the myth that people USED to barter and money came out of that process is actually untrue. anyway, for the love of god anyone with anything to teach teach me. |

It should, if you invest your rent money into Bitcoin and then its uninsured bubble bursts and all your virtual money becomes beyond worthless homeless is actually what you'd be risking! Again, Bitcoin is ideologically glorified gambling, let the rich kids and trust fund radicals waste their money on their hopeless ideological pissing contests, for spending money in the REAL world use REAL money and especially demand that any employer pay you in such.

In August, Facebook announced that it would no longer be allowing its users to communicate via private message on mobile phones without first downloading its proprietary “Messenger” app. “Messenger appears to have more spyware type code in it than I’ve seen in products intended specifically for enterprise surveillance,” tweeted Jonathan Zdziarski, a noted author and expert in iOS related digital forensics and security on Tuesday.
In an email to VICE’s Motherboard, Zdziarksi told reporter Matthew Bragathat Facebook logs “practically everything a user might do within the app.” |

to use facebook, as of jan 1 you will need to agree to have your location tracked in real time, commercially use without compensation any personal photos you might post on facebook - in addition to all the other harvesting of messaging and whatever else people do while masturbating on social media. But the herds will sign up willingly.
