My Dad makes quite a bit of money. (He owns his business)....but my family has worked pretty much for everything we have. For teh most part...I could say we had it easy.....well REALLY easy since I'm a first generation American...but none of us were spoiled. I'm 21 I pay rent(separated parents), my cell, my car, insurance and just about everythign else I need. Though....I do work 40-50 hours a week...I'm a little comfortlble right now....taht rent is really low..

EvolG, do you work for your Dad? If so that's great as the business and future success will be yours. Nothing wrong with getting a leg up as long as one works to maintain that. Unless of course your so filthy f' rich you don't have to work where I'm sure we'd all like to be..
Myself I did ok in my days. We owned our own house, 2 cars and a vacation place at the beach. The kids never starved, had good clothes we were able to travel once a year on a vacation. Now I'm not wealthy but I have enough money to survive. Drive a new car and have a nest egg.

yeah. I work for my Dad...which I hate/love. I mean it's great. but...it's got it's downsides. And I do no plan on staying with this business. My brother is pretty much gonna be left with this company. He knows just about everything about this place now...And yeah...I've always had to work for just about everything I own. My Dad would give us money when we needed it...but when we wanted stuff to buy...we would need to find our own way of getting it. (which through work pretty much...) |

I should never mention anything personal on the internet. There's rarely a reply to it that I don't hate on some level.
