"garage rock" means nothing sound-wise. NOTHING. it does not define a sound. garage rock just means an unpolished rock band. that's it.

by the way, "unpolished" is a way to describe a band's sound.

it says nothing about what the abnd sounds like.

an unpolished ska band sounds NOTHING like a n unpolished rock band, or an unpolished girl group, etc.
