Why are so many of you entirely wrong?
ANYWAY. The correct answer was 'The Cramps'. Who's with me?

Best parts of the only Zappa record I own (Hot Rats) are the Beefheart parts.

In fairness, I want to say that I'm a big Zappa fan, but of course there's stuff I'm not into. I can only handle so much Humor in Music.

I love Hot Rats. Everything else sounds too goofy, though. Zappa can be real jokey.

There's stuff I love (We're Only In It...) and there's stuff that is so silly I have a tough time getting into (Apostrophe).

I owned Joe's Garage in the late 70s because I thought it was "out there" and cool. I quickly came to hate and gave it away.

Personally I think Zappa's pretty amazing. But I also think that when yr dropping 4 albums a year, well they can't all be good. He was big into recording every idea he had. Y'know, throwing things in the water and seeing what would float and what would sink.
