Not exactly today but whatever, I've recentky learnt that Pantera ripped off Judas Priest (the pinched hamonics, legato and sweeped solos, high-pitched vocals and drum playing, it's all there - at least in the album Painkiller).

I remember when the PAINKILLER album came out.
as a huge ex-metal-head, it strikes me as odd that so many people slept on that album, because it is seriously the hardest heaviest thing that Judas Priest ever put out. It makes "breaking the law" sound like a springsteen song.
