[quote=bytheriver] Fuck You I Wont Do What You Tell Me is probably the best line for a fourteen year old to hear, it may not be smart but it sure is exciting.
quote] does not every single teenager full of stupid wasted teen angst shout those words ANYWAY? at least the beastie boys had fun with fight for yr right to party. RATM were like getting an enema of every stupid teen metalhead cliche

Are these festivals enjoyable? How in the world do you actually get to see and hear the bands you like? It would jsut drive me insane unles si was hopped up on mad drugs. if I was on acid or something I would forget to go see my favorite bands thereby spending hundreds of dollars to "trip out" with a bunch of people who want to hear the entirety of Stadium Arcadium. Of all the above bands I would be willing to pay money to see Sonic Youth, Interpol, Jr. Gong (Damien Marley), Blonde Redhead, !!!, Cornelius, (Happy Mondays? are they back together?), the roots, explosions in the sky, and tapes & tapes. That is ten bands over three days. It is just not worth it to me, since I have already seen most of the aforementioned ten bands before in more intimate settings (I have never seen blonde redhead, !!!, or Interpol.)

I'm sorry to disappoint as usual but the only way to really gain some basic notion of freedom in any society is to actively fight against a system without the help of music(which fights very little on the big scheme of things).Rage Against The Machine amount to only a little musical and hugely confused rage and nothing else.Fact.Argue as much as you like against it but it remains a fact.

YAWN!!!
the first two korn albums, around the fur by the deftones and "bring the noise" with pe and anthrax were ten million times better than their pretentious ass wah wah pedals; of course, spin and mtv didn't qualify it as cool as ratm so they are not worth mentioning. ps: didn't neil from crowded house kill himself? how the fuck are they "reuniting"? |

MTV loved Korn here.
Paul Hester from Crowded House killed himself.

I like how you prefer to voice your opinions as "facts". Very amusing. Creationsists do the same thing, but it doesn't make them right.

and fuck Korn and Deftones. No where near as talented as RATM. Anthrax is awesome though.

i can connect my guitar to a wah wah pedal and a whammy pedal, i can even press the pedals and play the guitar at the same time. i guess that makes me a genius.
although i don't know if i can copy texts from leftist/liberal l.a. papers and make them rhyme or voice them in an annoying high pitched voice, so i'm probably not a genius, just talented. |

zack de la cockroach repeatedly screaming "All of these are American dreams" is not talent.

yeah. after audioslave i think this is just silly. now what I think all of you forgot, is aside from inspiring a bunch of angry 16 year old American kids, Rage also got a bunch of 16 year old mexican kids even more angry, and the difference is, in Mexico there are places where you can still become a bloodclott revolutionary.......
so as fake as RATM seems to you all, there are kids killing people in Mexican jungles that beg to differ, and might not like your opinions either. of course, I wonder what THEY think of audioslave...
