Open bar as in free you mean? At a wedding? You must be joking. There might be a bottle of wine on each table that's gratis but beyond that...

Tonight I'm going out and meet friends.
tomorrow I'm seeing these guys, unless the gig is sold out. Sunday will be dedicated to work. |

knowing the english and their drinking habits i think it's probably in the best interests of all involved if there isn't an open bar at weddings.

he said thet're probably worth £50 each, he's also selling a dean r koontz book that has the starting price of £200. he works for a rare book dealer.
personally my attitude towards books is the same as yours, i don't understand this whole thing of collecting first editions. as long as the books spine isn't broken i think they look better slightly battered, it shows they've been enjoyed. |

Likewise. I can't understand not wanting to utilize something for its intended purpose.
Dean Koontz sucks abysmally. You couldn't pay me 200 bucks to take it off his hands. |

Dean Koontz is even worse than S. King. Total supermarket checkout impulse-buyer fare.

Anyway, away from rubbish novelists and back to weekend plans if I may. After the cancellation I am going to a friends house for some drinks. She's Brazillian and last time I saw her she said she had a Brazillian record I might like and that is 'quite rare'. I'm hoping she'll bust out an Os Mutantes LP or Caetano Veloso's first LP and let me look at it and possibly touch it. And tomorrow I am going to the theatre to see To Kill A Mockingbird...woop.

I'm honestly surprised that the two of you (SC & Iain) do not recognize the technical genius of Stephen King, even if you think he writes rubbish. I shed a tear for your fall from my pedestal.
