no, high heels would be totally impractical, i couldn't leg it from the crime scene if i was wearing high heels. i wouldn't want to get caught before i present the bricks in my degree show.

If you ask me, shock art has it's purpose. It's one of many ways in which an artist can express and hopefully liberate him/herself from certain taboos or obstacles they encounter in their daily lives.
Most of us avoid the fact that the world isn't always as pretty as it seems. It's not only about love and happiness. Things can, and often do turn out horrible. Hunger, addiction, prostitution, war, death, etc.
A good artist will approach these issues in such a way, that it will make us think about the world we live in.

I do understand what you mean though. Some of them use the shock method, to gain personal attention or make us feel uncomfortable. It's the wrong approach, and will only lead to people rejecting the work with anger and disgust.

Whenever I go to a gallery and see work that makes me think and confront myself, I'm very greatful to the artist that made it. The reason for this is that it assures me that I'm not the only person dealing with hard issues.
The same goes for music. If I'm having a bad day, a Joy Division record can help me out of my depression. Works almost every time.

If you post your art in a public place, in such an in-your-face way, surely you're asking for, and expecting comment?

And should you expect just praise?

I genuinely didn't think it was art, but as somebody bored and doing some e-doodling. And as it wasn't confined to this thread, it was boring having to put somebody on ignore, just so I didn't have to wade through it in order to read other threads.
