funny thing about the economy is it’s the same in all major developed countries. same in japan, same in the uk despite brexit, same in germany, canada, australia, the netherlands, new zealand, switzerland, singapore... trump is not president there. this is a global phenomenon, not a national one.

And beyond that, Trump promotes an atmosphere of fear and hate. This does affect a lot of people. Just because the economy seems somewhat okay on the surface that doesn't mean that everything's A-okay. One only has to look at the kind of atrocities that happen at the border (Cages, for crying out loud), or what ICE is doing. This hits people who already, societally speaking, don't really have a voice. And then there are of course blue collar Joe and Jane who have to worry about healthcare. I may be looking in from the outside as well, so of course I can't grasp the entire scope of things. But if one does take a look, it's quite easy to see how everday life has been negatively affected by Trump's admin.

Exactly. This guy has managed to tank Casinos for fuck's sake. That's as far away from the entrepreneural prowess some attribute to him as possible. In fact, it's quite pathetic. If the economy is okay for some (and I wanna stress the "some" here), it's rather despite of him than because of him. And I guess it's a question of time when his shoddy policies will affect the economy negatively on a larger scale. Oh and then there's his announcement to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. There's another decision that stands to really exacerbate an already bad situation. The list of how Trump could possibly or has already negatively affected everyday life just goes on and on.

Also Biden's campaign is going to tank soon and he would do terrible in the general against someone like Trump. It would be embarrassing for everyone. Grabby Grandpa Joe's political career is over, centrism is not what the large majority of people want. Interesting how a lot of centrist candidates have latched onto Sanders' talking points because they realise the party's base has moved left (while the DNC still sits right in the middle, being useless).
