I have two pairs one white pair of hi tops one pair of white low tops, the hi tops ive had for about 5 years and they are completely falling apart. They are grey and have holes everywhere, and the sole is coming away from the shoe in several places.

i wear those but STRICTLY AT HOME. they are very convenient to take out the trash and that sort of crap.

wearing them in public however should be punishable by eye gouging.

so they are comfortable-- however, i do not recommend them for summer-- their thick plastic structure makes them too hot, holes or no holes. for that i prefer flipflops, preferrably made of cloth not rubber. again-- STRICTLY INDOORS-- or at the beach/pool. and that's that.

for the outside, leather sandals or maybe something made out of light cloth but with a GOOD SOLE that lets you walk without damaging your skeleton.

ps cooks should wear steel-toe shoes with chemical-resistant soles. imagine a pot of boiling oil spilling on those rubber holes. oh the pain.

of course i paid with my own money-- best $30 ever. those things are very nice for my feet & make great house shoes. plus having the wide feet i have, these give my toes room to wiggle. i wear them with socks, they go perfect with pajamas-- yes sometimes i spend the whole day in my pajamas.

on the subject of pajamas, i'm looking for 100% cotton scrubs or something like light-weight mechanic's overalls. i just bought an engineer's table and i feel like conducting surgery or working on an airplane's engine. anyway the problem is that the dickies i've found are part-synthetic, same with hospital scrubs, and i detest that.

oh, one more thing-- i hope the inventor of the crocs is filthy rich & gets richer. great product. should be rewarded. if misapplied by tasteless fools, it's not his fault. just like the existence of yuppie twats cannot be blamed on spanish bar food (aka "tapas").

same thing i wear all year round.

i have two sketchers (comfiest shoes i've ever had, fuck off very much), some converse but not chucks, a pair of reeboks, and a pair of mark eckos are my favorites.

i also have some timberlands which are ok and the red chucks i hardly wear anymore.

I only wear shoes in the summer when it's absolutely necessary. At my job I have to wear tennis shoes, my fucking god the most uncomfortable things ever. Standing all day, I'd rather do it barefoot, but I'm sure that doesn't fit in with the Six Flags dress code. Also, wearing socks in the summer is just ridiculous, I don't care if it's gross not to. Socks make my feet too warm.

I hate flip-flops and most other sandals.

I drive my car barefoot, unless I'm on my way to work or to the store.
