Bears, Packers, and Vikings fans (the drunk fat ones) are probably the closest thing to hooliganism in America.

The University of Colorado football fans are maybe the best example of horrible sports fans. Folsom Field in Boulder is notorious for battery throwing and spitting. I can speak from experience. Funny to think that the most dangerous situation (or so it felt at the time) I've been in was at a Nebraska/Colorado football game in Boulder.

Then there are those awfully annoying AC/DC fans, who seem to have never listened to--or even heard of--anything but those rowdy boys from Down Under. Throw in those gen-X Alice Cooper and Kiss fans who never started listening until they were in their mid to late teens in the mid '80s (about 5 to 7 years after the rest of us had stopped paying attention), and you have what's pretty much my pettest of peeves when it comes to rock fans.

see, I love sports. sports, art, music, science, are the only human endeavors where you can glimpse something that has never been experienced before.
I love that.

however, I also hate the typical sports idiot, who thinks his cock is meausred by the amount of fervor he worships his personal sports heroes with.

How about the fans that you see at all the same shows that you go to, who are into all the same weirdo/obscure stuff you like, but never seem to have anything good to say about the show, the venue, the band that they made the effort to come down and see and is playing RIGHT NOW?

That type of music fan is one I could do without, because sometimes they actively bum out my good times.
