the new wu tang is actually good. before i got it i listened to samples of it and thought it was not so good but i bought it anyway.

ive been listening to the wu tang for awhile now and love all of the offshoots that rza produced too tho the cd the wu was pretty weak.

i gave the new one a chance and it has really grown on me. it is a little different with lots of guitars (fucking john frusciante!) and a kind or mariachi beat with no bass! good shit.

the interpolation... of the beatles is total crap tho. always skip that one but the rest is pretty solid.

dr dre is pretty cool. so far he has made the only beat in hip hop history that i know of that used micro tones. very cool.

i agree bout 8 diagrams, i think its ok, lotsa cool psych beats, very good raekwon rhymes, its not perfect but its definitley better than a lota people are making it out to be

this is what i don't want:

"like this, y'all. like that, y'all." all that shit is played. i'm tired of talking about how great hip hop was back in the day (i'm looking at you, j5).

dudes who have great wordplay, but no flow. i'd rather listen to a good flow with silly ass words, than some cat who can rhyme 14 different things with orange, all off beat.

lupe fiasco. he started listening to rap a couple years ago, now people think he's hip hop's savior. his production is whack and so are his rhymes.

songs that rhyme "party" and "bacardi." yeah, i like to party sometimes. yeah, when i do, i usually drink rum. why not switch it up? sip bacardi at the jean luc picarty.

and more fucking skits. i love skits. they were the best part of albums when i was growing up. especially on "enter the 36 chambers" and "doggystyle" and "the chronic" and all that shit.

i just dont see how you can think thats genric, well maybe genric, cuz its def coke rap, but boring? no way.

i though pharrell's production (and i seriously found out WAY later that pharell produced hell hath...) is too smooth and without any personality, i really though it was a chore to listen to the whole album.

both of his solo albums are great, but i may be in the minority when i say
"movies for the blind" was better. i guess it depends on whether you prefer
drugged-out cage or contemplative cage. the fact he succeeded so well in
two different styles is testament to his skill.
