i used to want to be james brown, and then later on james chance. ive always seen chance as like the white boy punk version of brown, with all the hyper energetic stage movements, screams, 'contortions', and just extremly entertaining. both of them are two of my heroes for sure.

Everyneurotic - I "acquired" a copy of "Return To Slavery" a while back, and very impressive stuff it is too.
There's some amazing stuff on the Broken Flag boxset that Vinyl On Demand put out last year - some great MB tracks, for example, and also some stuff by Un-Kommuniti (Tim Gane in pre-Stereolab racket mode). Another great Broken Flag comp is the "Statement" LP, featuring (unnamed) Consumer Electronics tracks - these were the recordings that got him fired from Whitehouse in 1984...

My influences depend on the musical phase I'm going through at that moment. Sometimes I'll listen to Sonic Youth constantly, so I'll be playing around with alternate tunings and such. Recently, I was obsessed with the Laughing Clowns, so my music was saxophone based. Right now I'm in a black metal phase, so I'm using tremelo picking and trying to ruin my voice.
