It makes me desperately wish I understood Japanese. Whatever she's saying, she really means it.

acousticrock, did you ever check out Toddle? They're awesome as well, they're not really similiar aside from being Japanese and having amazing songs.

Never heard of them, but I'm extremely biased toward Japanese bands so I'll trust you and download it.

Oh trust me, I've waded through tons of garbage and mediocre stuff, this stuff I'm posting is cream of the crop. With Toddle, we're talking about a band where every part of every song is a hook, no riff is a throwaway, just brilliant. 3 part harmonies too! Number Girl is just amazing.. probably in my top 5 favorite drummers in that band, interesting counter-melodic vocals and one of the best guitar tones ever, incredible songwriting. |

Does skabetter remind anyone else of the Cranberries?
Sorry, I mean something hip like Cocteau Twins. But seriously. This doesn't do it for me. But I'd probably see them if they swung through town.

Well this (Mass) is amazing. I've downloaded all 3 of atsonic's links and make a CD with the demo, the s/t and the new EP on it, which is sure to get many a listen in the Slander household. Good GOOD stuff. Mega thanks.
Also, describing them as a Japanese Vivian Girls influenced by the Jesus Lizard, although obviously reductive, is kind of perfect somehow. Except so much better than that might sound. Roll on the first full length!

Haha, yeah, I just described them as that to get people interested, but honestly, it does kinda fit.
Glad you like man. |

This album is so, so good. But for the love of how good the album is, enough with the Vivian Girls associations. It's insulting.

Sure, but how else would I get people to check it out? "THREE GIRLS ROCKING MELODICALLY (well, 2 girls and 1 guy now...)" would get like 1 person to check it out, maybe. Heheh. |

I'm resurrecting this thread because I just wanted to say my Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs CD of the Demo/s/t EP/The World Is Yours has gotten as many plays from me in the last two months or so as pretty much anything else, because it fucking immensely rocks! Seriously just fantastic band, and anyone who missed this last times needs to rectify that. Thanks a bunch Atsonicpark!
EDIT: I mean seriously, how stupidly good is, say, Endroll? Or She Is Inside, He Is Outside? Or pretty much everything else on both EPs? Amazing.
