Me at work too. The roads and Underground are pretty quiet - lots of people pulling sickies today, methinks T & B - I was hoping for more snow too...it's not fair! I was cheered though by a Dad telling his 2 kids on the bus that their school was closed for the day.

I'm in work today. The media have made out that all southern England's roads are like some kind of a skating rink, but in reality the major ones are just fine. However, the general public's fear of venturing out of their front doors meant that I had my easiest ever journey into work today. The last half mile was a bit slippery, but I wasn't trying to drive at 100 mph so it didn't bother me.

its funny, today the roads are clear, the buses are running yet we've got less staff in today than yesterday. And for some reason most peoples phones seem to have been turned off by the gritters. weird.

I don't live in the UK, but my boss gave me shit for not coming in, when there was a foot of snow on the ground and I live 20 minutes away, when there were people who had called in the day before who lived a few minutes away. It's embarassing to get stuck in your own driveway but shit happens.

Yeah well where I am in Australia we were in a heat wave last week and tomorrow it's 44 degrees Celsius which is 111 degrees Fahrenheit. Yay how fun it is here.
