Wow. I wonder if that Bottom of the World was recorded on the night I saw Waits in Edinburgh (he played two nights, so could be the other one).

been to plato in utrecht, netherlands, and the owner told me that although his store is on the site, these releases are going to be US-only. He told his distribitors are trying to get them, but he couldn't guarantee succes...

More Rough Trade: There are two exclusives for this year痴 Record Store Day that are ridiculously limited. They are the Sonic Youth/Beck split 7 and the Sonic Youth/Jay Reatard split 7 and we only have a handful of each so to be fair to everyone we値l be running a raffle. From 10am we値l be giving out raffle tickets (one per person), We値l draw the raffle at 4pm and if your number is called you値l be able to buy one of these future collectors items. Cunts! |

Yeah. Very dumb idea.
The result of this draw is going to be that people who wouldn't have thought if wanting the 7" if it was sold as normal will put their names into the draw, and the basic laws of chance say that the people who actually want it (e.g. you, me and Toxic Johnny) won't get it, while people who couldn't give a shit will. I predict that by the end of April, there will be at least ten copies on ebay selling for 」30 each. As far as I'm concerned the sellers of those will be more than welcome to shove their shiny 7" discs up their grimy 1/2" orifices. |
