i'm from LA, I have never even been in the snow.. but it appears to be cold in the ENTIRE northern parts of the world, from Montana to the UK. Its in the 40s in Miami for Christ's sake.. Los Angeles is in the 70s today, it is literally one of the warmest places north of the tropics today

oily thick chips

you can replace that with

something with mashed potatos
sausages?
minced beef

or PIES (a pie can be minced beef with mashed potato in a tray? i suppose so)

when you're feeling wild
add some over boiled soggy vegetables

i don't know what conga-lines are so i'm gonna say no.

didn't they tell you tho, in school, a good meal had to be colorful, fresh, and not very oily.

except for anything too custardy that looks like infection.
also i think cranberry and turkey was a nice idea.

Well, I was lucky. They brought in plastic food and we had to prepare menus according to the different groups of nutrients we needed. It was really effective, you see.

Do you know what kept me from freezing to death when I went on my ramble through the snow covered forest today? Crisps. The saturated fat in crisps to be exact. I ate a load the evening before to keep me warm for the night, and was still feeling the effects today when I went on my ramble. I was working up such a sweat, I was using the snow to cool my face down.
