This thread is so much harder than I expected. Did anyone play the less obscure games, like Earthbound or NARC? How bout this one:

Ha, that's the first one I recognise... Super Mario Bros.
I can never relate to these threads either because I never had any video game consoles... but I can't be the only one here who used to have and MSX2, right? Even though I don't think that ever really took off outside of Japan and a few countries in Europe (Philips for instance made them too). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSX One of my favourite MSX games (along with Metal Gear, Kings Valley, Usas, Vampire Killer and just about any other game made by Konami): anyone know? |

i downloaded a ROM of earthbound but kept getting killed in the town where you start, i think it might have been the cops who killed me. i've sort of been meaning to retry it as it's a game i've heard nothing but high recommendations for.

Yeah, I do remember the cops being rather tough. You have to fight 5 or 6 in a row, right?
Once you get past that, the game (for me at least) wasn't very hard at all. And it gets alot more interesting. |

There was a sequel/prequel to Earthbound that I think is supposed to be released here in a combo pack with the original, because it never made it across the seas. Maybe it was already released? Don't remember what system though - probably GBA or DS, I'd imagine. Admittedly, I never got that far in the original. I just really liked what I played of it.
