I ALMOST had to do so, my sister had leukemia, but is now in remission after some really fucking savage chemotherapy, she almost didn't survive that.

From what I hear, you no longer actually need to have the marrow extracted, it is all done with stem cells that are grabbed only out of a blood donation.

well my sister had the same, done a long chemo therapy and she survived it
in her time around 1990, 9 of 10 leukemia patients didn't survive

we used to live under then
full studies aren't done if power pylons can cauze leukemia

the medicinal world is also manipulated by people/politicians or multinationals that have other interest then the health of the population

yes, antidepressant pills are basically uppers, they do not cure fucked up thinking. whoever gave that crazy such a perscription unsupervised is an incompetent fuck.

under the supervision of professionals, on the other hand, pills can be a good tool to get you off your couch of sorrows. but just that. the rest is up to you and the therapist.

I read a magazine recently saying that antidepressants don't work any more than placebos or exercise. These researchers have been accusing the pharmaceutical industry of approving drugs and buying off scientists and regulators. I'm not sure if that's true, but it's certainly suspicious that these drugs are selling more and more and depression is on the rise.

Yes. About 6 years ago, I was feeling blah. "Grey," is how I described it to my then-wife. Not happy not sad. Just plain, life wasn't interesting anymore, no matter what I tried. "See your doctor," she said, and God, I'm glad I did. She put me on very mild anti-depressants, and within about 2 weeks, I felt like a veil had been lifted from in front of my eyes.

The little pills didn't make life's problems or worries go away. They didn't make me ecstatically happy. But they made me feel that I could cope, and--I know this sounds corny but--that everything would be okay.

I felt that way too. Maybe it was the placebo effect. Then after a while I felt nothing, dead.

it's sad that these doctors and scientist are blurring their own world where they have been going to school, universety for 10 years
