Slick Rick is my hero. "Behind Bars" is a FANTASTIC album; he was so skilled he shined over mediocre beats most of his career.

Right now Ghostface is the best there is. Check out his new album "Fishscale" or if you can find it the mixtape "Hidden Darts III". He's got another album coming out later this year with MF Doom which should be godly.

Most won't dig this but I'm down with the Diplomats. Cam'ron has a totally unique style and Juelz Santana gets better every day. JR Writer is also a perfectly good rhymer. The rest aren't that great but you can't knock the Dips style. Problem is a lot of their fans are fucking dipshits.

It's in a genre called horrocore, which essentially is a genre of hip-hop concerned with death, killing, and suicide; which is great, because that's not something you'd normally find yourself singing along with, but the songs are so catchy it can't be helped.
