Seriously, how is Air - La Femme D'Argent a song? Don't songs have to have singing and a particular form and so on? I know that some people say "song" when they mean any piece of music, but it drives me nuts.

Good one. But really, I mean, uh, Glice mentioned Beethoven's 3rd earlier--how far can this madness go?

This did occur to me afterwards (and with Feldman, Part), but at the time I was thinking more of beautiful pieces of music. In other news, I demand that you 'hook me up' with some 'dope' lieder (probably spelt wrong, I care not).

3 more that came up:
Bobby womack-Across 10th Street Jimi Hendrix-Crosstown Traffic Sly Stone-Runnin' Away Perfection personified.I never tire of these as they are simply perfect. If anyone would write as great songs as these again,i think we'd have little time to discuss things. |
