So the Milwaukee Bucks went from this......
Quote:
to getting CRUSHED by the Lakers in LA last night. The NBA schedule granted The Bucks traveling mercies as they play the Clippers in LA tonight. The Bucks then have a 30 minute flight and Thursday off in Oakland before playing The Warriors on Friday night......when The Dubs will put a beat down on the The Bucks and will make what the Lakers did last night feel like a Sweedish massage. Speaking of The Dubs, all the best to the Phoenix Suns tonight! Last and least, the Crap-O-La Rockets dropped another game losing by 10 (it wasn't that close) at Sacramento last night! Rockets = 24 turnovers Kings = 29 turnovers Dwight Howard: 27:48 of playing time = 4 points, 4 rebounds |

After hearing about the above earlier in the week: Howard Insists He's Not Unhappy As A Rocket stories give Rockets fans a special holiday feeling here at Christmas. Dwight Howard on report he is very unhappy with role: "“I haven’t said anything to anybody about anything. People make up lies and rumors." At the end of the 3rd Quarter last night, The Golden State Warriors were up 40 over the Phoenix Suns......oh, Curry and Thompson had outscored the Suns as well: Did I mention Draymond Green had his 4th Triple Double of the season, by the end of the 3rd Quarter. Believe we've seen this movie before...... |

Going back to the Rockets at Lakers game Thursday night......the Rockets NEVER trailed in the game and beat Lakers 107-87. Howard had 15 reboundss & his 9 offensive rebounds were the 2nd most he's had as a Rocket. James Harden end with 25 points on 7-24 FG shooting.
LA Clippers in Houston tonight......think the Rockets get rolled! Quote:
^^^dredging this up one more time because this was the shirt Warrior fans received before last nights game with Milwaukee......GSW t-shrit game is strong! Warriors won their 30th-straight game at Oracle, the ninth team in NBA history to win 30-straight home games. Warriors matched their franchise-best home start, improving to 12-0 at Oracle Arena this season to equal the 12-0 home start in 1975-76. While listening to the Warriors radio broadcast last night, I heard the following a few times: "Four defenders on Steph leaveing Draymond wide open." Warriors have four days off at home before hosting the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. Last but not least, Pistons at Bulls go FOUR overtimes last night with Detroit finally winning. Last Friday, Warriors at Celtics went THREE overtimes......wondering what might happen this Christmas Day Friday with FIVE games schedule??? |

Warriors are soft as charmin. Crying over all their perceived slights.. well hey Golden State isn't exactly a historical franchise with a deep championship culture excuse the other 29 NBA teams for not kow towing just yet. Shit even Heat had just recently had four consecutive Finals appearances amd a LEGIT 27 game streak and Kobe had went to three finals before that so its not like what Warriors are doing is totally new
oh to be sure what they are doing is very impressive and high IQ bball.. BUT is it a flash in the pan, a matter of circumstance, or something truly dynastic is yet to be seen and in the era of hypwebole sports we should just have fun and enjoy what it before we start writing the historiography and shifting all the narratives. For example, what is it that makes the Lakers 33 gamestreak so damned historic? No one has been able to break it and there have been plenty of teams who were better than those Lakers who tried and got damn close. So we don't know what these Warriors are until we do. So perhaps Warriors should wait and see what develops before they go around feeling so constantly disrespected. Respect is earned

Also i think teams have been getting out of hand with the recent extended overtime games. Itlike dude... a L is a L and a regular season W is just one of many. It isn't always worth all that. Especially if the fatigue from that games translates to another L in the next game..
Also injuries are always a real threat. The extended minutes equals extended exposure to risk. I bet Cavs would take back that Game 1 OT of the Finals if it meant Kyrie played in the next five. How stupid would Warriors have been feeling if Curry had been hurt in that Celtics game? How stupid would Chicago or Detroit feel if someone got hurt last night?

The only thing that makes a streak historic is time. The longer a streak stands, the more attention it receives as a team approaches it. I don't believe any team starts a season with the hopes of breaking a streak. It's just something that sort of happens when a team has a run of success. Example, the NFL Carolina Panthers who are now 14-0. The Miami Dolphin undefeated season streak will be mentioned more and more as the final two weeks of the NFL season draw to an end and the post season begins......but other than Die Hard Dolphin fans or the players from that team, it's not really all that big of a deal. Speaking of the NFL, why are so many so outspoken about hating Draymond Green, yet love Odel Beckham Jr. and all of his embarrassing clown act? Talk about a double standard between sports. I believe the Warriors know respect is earned and have acted accordingly. I don't see Dub players getting wrapped up in the trappings that have plagued some Championship teams in the past. So far, the Warriors have yet to play the Spurs or Thunder......and they haven't faced a major injury. It's not even Christmas, much less the All-Star break. As we all know, playoff teams don't start playing their best ball until then. Rockets: sure didn't expect the quick start they had last night hosting the LA Clippers. At the end of the first period, Rockets were up 38-17......ended up winning by 10. The Rockets are 2-0 against the Clippers this season with two games remaining......0-5 against the Nuggets and Nets. |

For example sure, what the Heat did by going to four consecutive Finals for first time since 1960s was unique but we won't know if its historical until well, no other teams match it So we have to wait.. Warriors wanna act like you get one ring and they give you the key to the NBA Did Mavs get that when they beat Miami? Do the 2004 Pistons get that for beating Shaq amd Kobe? Hardly.. So let's just wait and see before calling these Warriors anything other than a very very very good bball team.

Further now Warriors "fans" talking about Dubs "four championships" ha!
They got TWO separated by literally 40 years of irrelevance and the other two are pre merger so ain't no one care about that. And the NFL loves Odell but hates on Draymond Green because Odell is a clown sure but he also legt one of best receivers in football and he doesn't trash talk. Meanwhile Green cant ever seem to keep his mouth shut like Donkey from Shrek

Yesterday, the NFL suspended Odell for one game due to his thuggery antics on the field! Yesterday, the Western Conference 7th standing Rockets hosted the Eastern Conference 7th standing Hornets. Rockets had a comfortable 9 point lead after three, but a 9-0 run by Jeremy Lin's hair tied things up early in the 4th before the Rockets pulled ahead winning by 7. The Rockets are one game above .500 for the first time since November 7th. Last night was the third time in the last six games the Rockets held an opponent under 40% FG......tough stretch of 5 games to close out 2015: @Orlando San Antonio (Christmas) @New Orleans Atlanta Golden State (New Years Eve) I believe James Hardens ability to get by the initial defender is now at his it's best......makes it look so easy! A few hours down the road in San Antonio last night, the Spurs laid waste to the Indiana Pacers......Paul George was: While Kawhi Leonard was: Yesterday was also the three year Anniversary of Curry and Thompson being dubbed the "Splash Brothers." Today was the fourth consecutive day off (at home) for Golden State. |

I posted the Odell comments before Sunday. Draymond remains a loud mouthed scrub. On a lighter note i got my sister some Spurs stuff for Christmas which if you know my lifetime loathing of all things Spurs is a HUGE olive branch

The Warriors matched a season-low for points in a half (45), but still had the lead at the break......Curry even missed time in the first half. Warriors won by 6.
LeBron 25 Kyrie 13 Love 10 Curry 19 Green 22 Thompson 18 Would the real Rockets team please stand up: Go back to one gave above .500 after beating the Spurs, 88-84. Rockets now 1-0 vs San Antonio, 1-0 vs OKC, 2-0 vs LA Clippers & 12-15 vs rest of NBA. Tim Duncan on Rockets: "They were very physical and take it over the top, sometimes. Such is basketball and they had us on our heels." ......and people be calling Dwight soft......Spurs looked old at times! James Harden spent a good deal of time on the bench......can you remember when a legit MVP front runner one year looks like just an average player so often the next? Leonard 20 Aldridge 18 Duncan 13 Harden 20 Howard 11 Jones 14 Terry 12 (played like a boss) Speaking of average and old...(Kobe)...you can't be a professional and airball wide-open 15-footers! |

ESPN says Warriors-Cavs was the most-watched Christmas game since 2011, which was the season opener after the lockout. Rockets scored 41 points in 1st quarter, lead by as much as 12, trailed 63-62 at half......lost at New Orleans by 2 points. Last night in Houston, Rockets had only scored 38 at halftime against San Antonio. I didn't watch the 2nd half, but it's very clear there was no defense. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff on Rockets: "Our priorities need to be clear. I need to do a better job of playing the people whose priorities are clear." Either James Harden is insanely oblivious or there's one specific guy that threw a temper tantrum tonight: Blake Griffin out for the next couple of weeks......Josh Smith took his place in the starting lineup. The Philly Cheesesteak's won their 2nd game of the season, this picture says it all : ) WOW - A Damian Lillard-less Portland put a beat down on the Cavs tonight. Cleveland found themselves trailing by 29 points at halftime......the largest HT deficit by any LeBron James team. |

Last night, the Golden State Warriros finished up their 2015 Home schedule.
42-1 home record, tying the Orlando Magic in 1995 (42-2) for most home wins in a calendar year in NBA history. Golden State is now 29-1 on the season which is the best start in NBA history through the seasons first 30 games. Warriors had 30 assists on 37 field goals last night......their league leading 14 game this season with at least 30 assists. Warriors hit 20 three-pointers last night......the third time in franchise history for hitting 20 or more three-pointers in a game. Steph Curry had zero points with three minutes remaining in the 2nd Quarter. By halftime, Curry had 16 points......doubt that can be done in 2K. By the end of the 3rd Quarter, Curry had his first tipple double of the season. Omri Caspi had a big night for Sacramento scoring 36 against the Warriors. Top 4 in East -- Cavs, Hawks, Heat, Raptors -- have combined MOV/G of 12.4, less than Warriors (13.3) and Spurs (13.1) The Atlanta Hawks who play at Houston tonight, lost at Indiana last night. |

The East is still overall better than the West this year even with how well Spurs and Warriors are playing

No doubt the East is better than last year, but that's as far as I'm will to go for now......following totals are from the start of the season thru last day of 2015: East Top 5 01. Cleveland 21 - 9 02. Atlanta 21 -1 3 03. Toronto 20 - 13 04. Chicago 18 - 12 05. Orlando 19 - 13 East Bottom 2 01. Philadelphia 3 -31 02. Brooklyn 9 - 23 West Top 5 01. Golden State 30 - 2 02. San Antonio 28 - 6 03. OKC 23 - 10 04. LA Clippers 21 - 13 05. Dallas 19 - 13 West Bottom 2 01. LA Lakers 6 - 27 02. New Orleans 10 - 22 We will revisit the Top 5 and Bottom 2 at the All-Star break! Dallas beat Golden State, giving the Warriors consecutive road losses. Dallas 23-point lead matched Golden State's largest deficit of the season. Warriors trailed by 23 in a comeback win at the Clippers in November. Of course, Mavericks did so with out having to face, Curry......wonder is Steph is valuable to his team? A Curry-less Warriors righted the ship last night in Houston. A DEAFENING "KO-BE, KO-BE, KO-BE!!!" chant rang throughout Boston Garden in Kobe's last appearance and Lakers win......probably an all time low in Celtic history! Jimmy Butler just made Paul George look BAD! Funniest free throw distraction attempt in the NBA this season. |
