Funny how most people who say 'we should have religion in irrelevant circles' silently follow it with 'but only mine'.

Individuals who choose to not believe in anything have lost the right to try and stop or remove America’s Monuments, Memorials and Long Standing Practices. Five of the Supreme Court Justices have said the “lemon test” no longer applies. A new precedent has been set! Justice Scalia compares the “lemon test” to some ghoul in a late night horror movie that repeatedly sits up in its grave and shuffles abroad, after being repeatedly killed and buried, Lemon stalks our Establishment Clause jurisprudence once again, frightening thelittle children and school attorneys of Center Moriches Union Free School District.......now that’s funny! No one is denying that the cross or the Star of David are religious symbols, the Supreme Court is now saying that Christian Symbols represent more than religion = the power of 7-2 This Ruling Is So Important For America’s Heritage Patriotism Binding us together as a Nation 7-2 represents a shift in the Court......the shift coming with Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch. Elections = CONSEQUENCES and TRUMP being a serious contender is the proof. November 3rd is right around the corner and there will be new Supreme Court Justices to nominate |

Jerusalem (AFP) - An Israeli court Sunday convicted the wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of fraudulently using state funds for meals, under a plea bargain which dropped more severe charges.
While the ruling cut short a high-profile trial, the Netanyahu family's legal woes are far from over: the veteran premier himself faces possible indictment for bribery, fraud and breach of trust in the coming months. In a deal approved by judge Avital Chen at Jerusalem magistrates' court, Sara Netanyahu was found guilty of using the errors of government accounting staff to bypass spending restrictions. She was fined 10,000 shekels ($2,800) and ordered to reimburse the state a further 45,000 shekels. Although her husband is a millionaire she asked for payment to be deferred and the judge allowed her to pay in monthly instalments beginning in September. "The deal reached between the sides is worthy and appropriately reflects the deeds and their severity on the criminal level," Chen said in his ruling. The 60-year-old, a high-profile presence at her husband's side throughout his long tenure in office, was initially charged in June 2018 with fraud and breach of trust for paying $100,000 (85,000 euros) for meals from well-known Jerusalem businesses. |

I watched that Dem debate last night. Developed an immediate dislike for Warren, Beto and Cory Booker but from what little I saw of Tulsi Gabbard, I thought she was pretty cool.

Yeah, seems from reading the reactions afterwards that Booker went down pretty well. The Spanish thing threw me but I do now remember he seemed pretty genuine when he was talking about the guns issue. Beto just came across as totally out of his depth.

the one i disliked almost as much as beto was the ohio “working class” guy. sure his message was valid and important, but his body language screamed “repressed rage” ha ha ha. i dont even know his name, but he was wound tight as fuck. sure voted most likely to go postal in high school. |

Tim Ryan? I had to watch a clip to remind myself who he was but yeah. Wasn't sure if it was repressed rage but he definitely looked uncomfortable as fuck. which made me feel uncomfortable watching him, to the point of almost feeling sorry for him. He was who Gabbard seemed to score most points off.

... but I don't see any of them as potential nominees. The pundits I'm reading over here seem to think it'll come down to Biden v Sanders.

yeah that one. prolly nursing a hemorrhoid or something.
biden v sanders is the clear contest, the debates are really a race for vp, at least right now e.g. sanders-warren might be a “natural” pairing, they’re compatible biden otoh might wanna get someone to complement his “old white maleness,” like, say— harris. beto can be court jester |
