chile 0 ecuador 0 at halftime
chile weaving some beautiful attacks but no goals (yet) ecuador well organized in their half of the pitch and waiting for a long ball-- bravo a bit the sweeper-keeper eta: Quote:
i already made that caveat! Quote:
im a little groggy because i just woke up for the game but if i recall it wasn't a mistake but a rebound from a blocked shot that suarez picked up. no? Quote:
i know-- too cool for high drama ha ha ha-- no pathos === chile 2 ecuador 0 in the end. fun fun game. == ps - i'm told ecuador has normally been playing better than this but is missing several starters |

Messi's inititial shot looked like one i'd expect Buffon to catch, but it's hard to judge and I've heard some pundits agree with you and say he wasn't at fault at all. Obviously one of those that splits opinion. Didn't see the game but I'd love Chile to go all the way. |

Tim Howard did some Michael Jordan shit against Belgium.. however i don't like the double standard.. Donovan takes a sabbatical and gets universally shitted on, Howard takes a year off nobody says shit.

your man enner valencia was playing for ecuador though. he needs your support! (ha ha). i was gone all day yesterday so missed argentina/paraguay which ended 2-2. but see: http://www.ca2015.com/en/match/live/1947889 today looking forward to colombia/venezuela + brazil/peru colombia still under pekerman a strong candidate to win it all; brazil trying out an almost all-new squad with dunga (oh no!) as coach-- true to form he only has 3 forwards on the squad (neymar/willian/robinho) Quote:
legit source, not anymore; but if you're interested in usa/germany foxsoccer2go.com has a 7-day archive and right now on page 2 they have the link to it-- for a few more days. requires subscription though :/ |

England Slovakia was frustrating. No problems going forward, Wilshire was excellent and on another day Rooney could've easily got a hat-trick, but our defence is a nightmare. Cahill's about the only one who's nailed on and I'm still not 100% convinced even by him. The good results against pretty poor opponents are papering over some major cracks.
I'd blame Hodgson but I'd have probably played the same players in the same positions. I'll be surprised if he survives after the Euros, though. |

la mierda, mexico just scored!!
it's been a mad running around since the start. --- ha ha ah ha ha, now chile equalized. vidal header. golazo!!! - and now mexico 2 chile 1! this rhythm is so insane it's like a game from the 50s. open, attacking football on both sides. |

I cant watch it live. I'm having to rely on highlights for the whole tournament. So annoying.

What's the lowdown on the tournament so far? Who's looking good? Who's not? Any new players really standing out? Any big names having a nightmare? Kind of interested in Colombia's Carlas Bacca, who seems to be on the radar of a lot of big Prem teams right now.

hold on chile penalty-- vidal! chile 3 mex 2. insane game.
=== i missed most weekend games due to work. big upset was venezuela beating colombia's all-stars 1-0-- if by that you mean "big names having a nightmare". and paraguay coming from 2 goals behind to tie w/ argentina 2-2. paraguayans always have the biggest balls, warriors thru and thru. then the usual-- neymar the new jesus, etc. but i only started watching again yesterday, brazil-peru 1-1 until at the last minute a forward run by neymar followed by a beautiful cross to costa (the other d. costa, ha ha) gave brazil the chance to pull ahead. chile/mex quieting down at last. it's been 1 hour of game, about time they slowed down (a bit). mexico losing their punch. you checked out cricfree yet? -- holy shit 3-3- crazy goal!! long ball to vuoso, bravo off his goal. damn! valdivia had scored before that but the linesman fucked him-- unfair. well here we go - ay, valdivia la cagó!!! -- *another* goal annulled on offside? holy fuck. peruvian refs-- they've never gotten over the war of the pacific ha ha. - 3-3- final. jiménez, vuoso, and a lineman the best mexican players. alexis, vidal, and valdivia the best for chile, i think. |

We're really gonna struggle to keep him this summer. Chelsea and Sampdoria want him. We want £30m and it looks like Chelsea at least are willing to pay it or take him as part of some kind of swap deal for Loic Remy. Already signed Oblang from Sampdoria and Nene (me neither) from Al-Gharafa. Other players we're apparently targeting: Remy (Chelsea) Cabaye (PSG) Austin (QPR) Deulofeu (Barca) Cambiasso (Leicester) Song (Barca) Jenkinson (Arsenal) Payet (Marseille) Also a terrifying rumour going around that we're apparently looking at .... wait for it .... Mario .... Balotelli |

I'm surprised there's that much interest in Valencia too. Maybe there's something about him I just didn't see. But then Chelsea have just taken Falcao on loan so they may have lost interest in him anyway.
And Chelsea getting Falcao. Maybe they're missing the frustration that Torres brought them. Maybe they just don't feel right without a big name lame duck to worry about. Shame Mourinho already has experience of Balotelli cos maybe then they could've done the rest of us a favour and chosen him instead to be their new superstar burdeon. |

0-0 at halftime.
argentina pressures, uruguay absorbs, most of the game happening in their half. a bit boring. suarez sidelined means little uruguayan danger upfront. a bunch of corners from the argies but nothing. might very well end 0-0 if it continues that way. i snoozed a little (but i didn't sleep that night) it's on "PREMIER SPORTS" -== finally! agüero scores a GOLAZO! ... and uruguay fails to tie in their first good chance in a loooong time ... the end was more exciting, too much to comment-- uruguay waited until the last 15 minutes of regulation to start attacking in earnest. lots of missed chances. 1-0 it is. uruguay 3rd in the group behind paraguay who beat jamaica 1-0 |
