Is that the one with "Flowers Must Die" on it? Very god choice. I love the first Ash Ra Tempel LP as well. Whilst I'm on the Krautrock tip, have you heard the first two Amon Duul II albums? Both "Phallus Dei" and "Yeti" are wel worth getting hold of, if you're into your Kraut-Space Rock.

Larry Lalonde is one of my favorite guitarists of all time. He's like the Charlie Parker of guitar--coherently weaves in and out of key and hits every note he needs to along the way. It's dizzying. Way underrated.

Fuck, they're all good musicians. Larry is very underrated in particular though.

Yeah, Les and Brain (or whoever they have on drums) are usually pretty admired, but I think Larry is the most talented musician in the band. Les and Brain are technically gifted, but I think Larry is about 75% of the creative force. Solo Les sounds "talented" and carries the humor of Primus, but it's not very interesting.
I mean listen at 2:10 on Mr. Knowitall. I wait the whole song just to hear it every time. |

Primus may be the best show I've ever seen. Saw them stoned in a highschool basketball gym in Burlington Vermont. Les had goat horns and there were people diving into the crowd from the basketball hoops. It reminded me of the video for Smells like Teen Spirit.
Punchbowl is without a doubt my favorite Primus album, with pork soda and seas of cheese close behind. Excellent band. No melody, but amazing. Another band that is great is Meat Puppets. They made what could be the best album ever if you ask me |

Amon Duul II is pretty cool. I love the song " I want the sun to shine ". That has to be one of the best musical recordings I've ever heard
