Did you get the Windows Media Player upgrade? If the upgrade didn't work, try using internet explorer to watch it/upgrade.

Are you serious? They're done?
They couldn't have let us keep watching SY while they do a 30 minute sound check for Bjork? |

I was there too. The setlist rocked.
What sucked was the guy before them, Jarvis Cocker, started late and we had to wait for SY longer. I went there early and I had to see this guy I had never heard of. In between songs he would talk for like two minutes. He sucked. I was at the front too but I got sick and light-headed because I was dehydrated so (I hadn't had any water in like 4 hours because I was at the main stage to see three bands in a row and I didn't want to leave my spot in between bands because I was really close to the front. After JAMC played (they rocked) I left to go see SY but I should have gotten some water.) I left my spot to go get some water. I was so pissed since my main reason for going was to see SY (although I saw some great bands). I came back before they started though and ended up getting a pretty good spot. I worked my closer and closer to the front throughout the set so everything worked out ok. I couldn't believe it when they started the intro for Mote. Someone also said Lee's vocals sounded off but they sounded great live. You could actually hear them and understand them, unlike most bands that play live. Kim also killed Shaking Hell. I had seen the song live before and didn't think it was so great but this time it was amazing. Her vocals were so good. Kim has now become my favorite part of Sonic Youth after seeing that. Seriously, it was fucking good. I hope a dvd of this pops up on some torrent site. Yeah, I remember seeing you at that show, Alex. You gave your earplugs to me and my friend during their set. We put one plug in one ear and covered the other with our hand. They were too loud and all that could be heard was drum and bass. And that guy they had on stage to sing totally sucked. Was that dude that was with you your dad? I talked to him a little bit and he seemed like a cool guy. |

Really?? Jarivs is a great lyricist and songwriter, but don't know how he'd be live. You may have heard of him before...he was the singer in a band called Pulp, a band that was HUGE in England, but never caught on in the US. Their only "hit" here was a song in the mid-late 90's called "Common People". |
