i'm glad folks are digging this. i totally meant it when i've been saying for a while now just how rad these SY tracks are.

I have big expectations on this track (and the whole album) after having read many positive opinions on it, so i don't wanna ruin the fun listening to this MP3, although i admit it's tempting. I'll be stoic and wait for the LP (or at least i'll try hard).

That's exactly the point.
I was about to write another post to make what I meant clearer (expecially the "don't complain" part in my post, which could have been interpreted like "don't complain if you click, listen, and don't like it coz I warned you it would suck"

), but looks like there's no need, hehe!

similar to what NPR music did with the sonic youth track, here's a streaming premiere of the steve gunn track to the box set -

i'm awaiting a little more information from the plant but it sounds like these will be gearing up for shipping during the last week of july to folks who have picked it up via mailorder from us at the label. the retail street date is august 16 for folks who plan to pick it up at their local store. this thing will be pretty close to being OOP from us at the label as of the street date.
