Hey figured I'd just bump this thread. I know its really early when it comes to the third movie "The Dark Knight Rises" but has anyone gotten a look at Bane?

I can't wait to see what they do with Bane. Seems like an interesting choice in villain.

Can't say I'm too psyched about this one or bane.
Two Face and The Joker were my favorite villains and we'll never see either of them again until the next franchise reboot. Ann hatheway could be a good catwoman, i've been saying that for years..but meh |

"The Dark Knight Rises" teaser. I'm sure many of you may have already seen it by now. I like a good trailer, even teasers. Frankly, I'm just not feeling this one. When you compare it to "The Dark Knight" teaser trailer, which was so much more simple and was far more exciting.

I saw the teaser the other night and to tell you the truth the only things I seem to remember are Chris Nolan is the man behind it, a bunch of bats in the beginning and someone lying face down (Christian Bale I think?) certainly didn't grape me. Hard to see anyone pulling off a villain to top Heath Ledger's Joker

Well given that Tom Hardy is going to play Bale there is hope for a successful villain. As X says "I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts" forget comparisons and let Bale stand by himself and be thankful that Heath left us the Joker before he left this planet. He put Jack Nicholson to shame which hasn't happened too often.

This movie will be amazing to me no matter what.
Being a huge Batman fan, I'm going to dig it. Even though Dark Knight was impressive, it didn't capture the feelings I felt when I saw Begins. I hope this final film will do it |

i think it was just because it was the first in the series. and Nolan did a great
job making Batman seem realistic. i was hooked the entire time. i'd like to see more hand-to-hand combat in this new one. especially since Bane's in it |

I didn't really care for BB, but I really like THE DARK KNIGHT, even if it's a bit bloated and the end is kinda silly. Still, I LOVE Nolan (Following, Memento, his Insomnia remake, and Inception are all masterpieces really) and think the next one will be the best yet.
I've said for years KNIGHTFALL would make for an awesome movie, and with him doing a serious take on Bane, I really think this might be it. I have high hopes. Nothing beats Batman 1989 I think though. Though the Adam West one is hilarious (the series, but ESPECIALLY the movie). |

I've got a friend-of-a-friend who's an exra. Of course, I said "bullshit" when my friend told me, but these guys are film-students, located in Chicago, NYC, and Detroit, so it might not be so far fetched. Basically, if there's a Gotham Knights football game in the finale, then homie was telling the truth.
I'm a MASSIVE batman fan, from comics to movie (minus Forever and &Robin) to merchandise, to video games... I'm pretty into it. I'm psched for the new one, but it seems like it's going to be a whole different kind of monster than TDK, as TDK was to Begins. However.... from what I've heard (quotes from stars, spoilers about potential surprises, etc), THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE HELL OF A MOVIE. Was Return of the Jedi better than Empire? FUCK no. But it was still a great film, and was more elemental and definitive than Empire even if the film itself wasn't as good. TDKR is going to punch you in the chest, quickly and repeatedly, until your ribs shatter like glass. Bane, at first, seemed a terrible villain pick for me, but considering the overal *vibe* of Nolan's films, I think it's appropriate. Yes, the Joker was godlike, and nobody will out-villain him, perhaps ever. But I promise you, Bane is going to give you chills. I'm all optimism about this one. I have to be. Such is the seriousness of my devotion to this crew, these actors, and this director. TDKR will be a jaw-dropper... for sure. ps. Still not sure about Catwoman. They'd better do some serious work with her backstory and general demeanor to make it fit the Nolan vibe. But shit... I'm excited. |

I actually caught Batman Returns a few nights ago and forgot how good it was.
It's dark in a different silly way. But i thought it was well done |

^ I actually find it rather dull in most places, but the atmosphere and just the overall.. strangeness.. makes it worth watching. Still feels a bit long and missing.. something.
Still, catwoman suits are always sexy, Christopher Walken is insane as usual, and Keaton is the best Batman. So I like it overall. I just watched every single Batman film in the course of a week or two. One thing I appreciate about Nolan's Batmans is they capture the book a BIT more... I mean, the comics are my favorites, they are dark and have real murder and real rape, not Tommy Lee Jones with Pepto Bismol on his face and shit... Nolan's Batman films still feel a bit too bloated, though. But I just have a REALLY good feeling about this next one... |

I've heard some pretty out-there rumours about this...
Everyone seems to be in agreement that this is going to be the most intense superhero film ever made, and many have speculated that even TDK will pale in comparison. I doubt that, but I think the scope of this film will be bigger. If they follow the Knightfall storyline, then....well...... some serious shit is going to go down. |

A little over the top? You're too kind. That whole movie was waaaaay over the top and embarrassingly awful. I mean, I know they were trying to be kind of campy and everything, but god... that movie was just fucking garbage. Any future depiction of Bane can only be a vast improvement over Batman and Robin. |
