Only 4 bands/musicians have the "They're so good its scary" factor for me.

Sonic Youth - They still amaze me. They will always be my favourite band.

Elliott Smith - I Love him more than anything in the whole world, I can't listen to him anymore.

Joni Mitchell - The best female musician of all time.

Todd Rundgren - A Male version of Joni.
