It's a very hard question, if I can only choose two songs, I choose:
Karen Revisited & Hits For Sunshine

Good call on Karen Revisited, that's easily one of my favorites, but I really can't list them all because it would take hours

All EVOL (specially Expressway and Shadow of a Doubt), all Bad Moon Rising (specially I'm insane), Schizophrenia, Diamond Sea, White Kross, Cinderella's Big Score (live), Wish Fulfillment. There are lots more that don't cross my mind now.

Secret girl, Marilyn Moore (but those are included in EVOL). What the heck anyway.

Hi sonicl! Happy New Year to you too and everybody. Yes I had a little of a fall out but I'm here again. Hope everything's cool for you.

I always forget to check if somebody posted right after me and commented. So that post with the songs was kept in the middle between your salutation and my answer sonicl. I'll be more careful.

They're fun threads, that's all. I don't think SY will change their live repertoire just because of our choices here. Just to get to know each other better I think.

If I was told that I had to get rid of all my music except for one burned CD, containing one track by each of my favourite bands, I guess the SY track would be Diamond Sea.

Yes that one is way far too good. Don't know though if I chose it. It's too hard, so many good songs...

Its nigh on impossible to have one favourite of all time
but I will name 3 for different reasons *Expressway to yr skull - its the best tune to end a gig with and its the ultimate guitar song of all time *Teenage riot - their signature tune, the one you would go off at most in a live situation, it sums the band up perfectly *Thom Violence - my favourite studio recording of theirs. There's something about the way it was recorded, the production, Thurstons voice, its the epitome of Sonic Youth on vinyl any of the above 3 really!!!! |
