not that you asked. but for a starting track, I'd look into "Baby i'm just a fool", "Stop Your Crying", "Think I'm in love", "Rocket shaped song", and all of the stuff from the early '90s. |

If you enjoy Spiritualized, Spectrum are also worth checking out. Pete Kember's post-spacemen 3 project. Soul Kiss (Glide Divine) is a great album and pretty underated.

I'm on the hunt for Ladies and Gentlemen, for sure. I'll check out the stores tomorrow. I'd like to find this on LP--looks like Plain Recordings has repressed it. A great reissue label. Same label that has repressed Isn't Anything, Loveless, and some JAMC stuff.

Spiritualized is the best band that's been mentioned in this thread, but they're not really shoegaze. Not in the slowdive/ride/mbv sense. I always myself when I categorize music so specifically, and actually debate with people about it. It makes me feel like a walking stereotype. But Spritualized I think is closer to "space-rock", whatever the fuck that means. I guess the major difference is cosmetic. Spiritualized doesn't bring "shoegazing" to mind, but rather star-gazing. ... in black-and-white with sunglasses on. |

I know. I'm confused. Did she change names again. Am I imagining I read this before? Or somebody fucking with us? In any case, I don't like it.

I bought Ride - Play EP on vinyl today for £3
It has one of my favourite Ride songs on it. Shoegaze and an a harmonica make a fantastic combination. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=YdWq7gY5pAI |
