He's one of the best of all time. He's really the only reason anyone cares about the Smiths, in any way. I mean, no one at all cares about Morrissey solo. He's like Courntey Love. I don't hear anything about 'em for a while and assume they're dead, and then someone posts about them on SYG. |

I care DEPLY about Morrissey solo, and so do the tens of thousands that flock to his concerts man.
his solo stuff can be hit or miss, but when it hits it is JUST AS AMAZING AND FUCKING BRILLIANT as any Smiths track.

Uh, riiiight. Have fun with that!!
I'd love to go to a Morrissey solo show, actually. Just to hear "Hand in Glove" and "There Is a Light that Never Goes Out", songs he's still most famous for despite releasing like 11 solo albums since the Smiths broke up! ...Unless a person just doesn't care about, y'know, good songs and stuff, I can't comprehend how anyone could possibly find relevance in Morrissey and his merry band of random no-name session musicians -- Vauxhall and I is his only listenable record... it has like 5 great songs and the rest is... well... not so good. Most of his solo albums are SO boring that it's unbearable. I mean, the random song.. "Suedehead" (aka "This song really sounds like the Smiths!"), y'know.. is alright.. but The Smiths blow Morrissey solo out of the water... and he'll always live in their shadow because he hasn't done anything noteworthy since breaking them up besides say Chinese people are a "subspecies" and other "shock" quotes every now and then to remind people he still exists. |

I think Morrissey solo is much better than the Smiths (at least the records I got: Viva Hate, Kill Uncle, Bona Drag)
Plus the use of cello, piano, keyboards etc. makes his music more "colorful" and it suits his bitter pop (the Smiths instrumentation was a bit too grim). |

Morrisey is retarded. Not because of this. But because he's a vegetarian who throws hissy fits yet wears leather.

Bona Drag, Viva Hate, Kill Uncle, You Are The Quarry are fucking awesome albums. Not perfect, but the Smiths never released a "perfect" album either.
Both are amazing and fabulous.

I was just about to say that Mozza had Aziz Ibrahim in his backing band, then I realised I was thinking of Ian Brown. I quite like him. Baz Boorer is alright as a musician. As good as anyone else, surely?

People who care more about animals than the welfare of human beings on this planet need to be ground upon the wheel. Moz's head is so far up his own ass. Why so dour after all these years, with all his cash?

I'm not one to sing the praises of the English, but we are one of the least racist countries in the western world. Less racist than Americans for sure.

But surely this is because of the large amount of different races that have consistently been coming here since the beginning. Y'all damned sure were not treating yr Irish immigrants too well. Not sure what the current situation is on that.... Where there is a large cluster of folks from different backgrounds, there is always going to be racism A sad, sad fact, yes...but a fact none the less.

So, I don't eat humans but proudly wear their skins! Actually I didn't know this fact about him, but that's pretty fucking funny if true. All said, that's why it comes down to just listening to the silly bastard croon into a microphone while overlooking any political, spiritual or religious views he (or any other performer) would be trying to convey. Everyone would be a lot less cynical then.
