chris rock said it, and so did jeff foxworthy. they are both equally not funny though. relationship jokes are not ever funny. which is why women comedians are almost never funny.

If you don't really care, why place restrictions? Why not just vote yes?
Hip Priest's point brings up the whole "separate but equal" quagmire. I say legal civil unions for all, and let the religious people have their non-legally-binding marriage ceremonies. This is how it should have been all along anyway. |

homo thread of the week? that's so gay!
i don't really care either. i guess savage clone's solution would be the best really; civil unions for all... although to many people that doesn't sound as romantic as getting married i suppose. anyway, if gays really feel the need to engage in the old blessing of church and state then i don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to like everybody else who feels the need to... which means they'd have to have the right by law to get "married" rather than just getting a civil-union that's equal. laws should be equal for everyone after all. to get a church blessing for a gay marriage is a bit more complicated i suppose, but that's freedom of religion. |

Funny how religious people say homosexuality is not "part of God's plan", then turn around and say presuming to know the will of God is a sin.

...and the simple fact that Nature, if anything, surely is "God's plan" and nature tells us that all species that can be homosexual have homosexuals among their numbers.
Your post made me think of Bush and his supposed prayer that was answered by God that he should invade Iraq. |
