^^^ not only does it sound good, I know it's good!
The wife said we will be doing the same this Labor Day weekend. I will be adding slabs of iron skillet cornbread to go with. In the morning, we're going to the Farmers Market to purchase a mess of jalapenos to stuff with sausage / scream cheese, wrap in bacon and have for snacks while knocking out Season Four of Breaking Bad...... |

getting ready for lentils and rice with crispy fried onions on top and perhaps a bit of spinach and maybe an egg or two and a piece of cheddar.

luch was "spinach risotto of last resort"
it's not really a risotto. there's no stirring and adding liquids. you just slap together some chopped spinach with steamed rice. so like fried rice, but without the frying, and some melty binder (cheese). i can guarantee it's cheap and edible. |

Mole enchiladas. I made 'em. I was too lazy to cook chicken so I made them with cheese and peppers. Came out pretty good.

some minutes ago, say, 40 maybe? i ate slices of freshly killed deer liver sauteed in irish butter. i could have used cheap butter but that would have been an affront. i mean since i had the choice of butters.
then i deglazed the pan with cognac and poured that on the slices. salt and fresh ground pepper. ate with fat glasses of shiraz. still drinking that (3r or 4th glass). thinking of moving up to cognac. great starter for the evening fucking a right. |

Found out last week I have high cholesterol so have to cut out most stuff that I like from my diet, combine this with gluten intolerance and you have my diet of nothing but plant matter and fish.

ow, that sucks. i mean, i love to eat fish and vegetables, especially seaweed with fish, but if it was a mandatory thing i'd be irritated. my condolences. cholesterol is a genetic thing though. i mean, you can eat butter daily and have low cholesterol (i do); or you can eat nothing but oatmeal and have high cholesterol (dwight eisenhower). there are other theories floating around however (primal diet, etc) and you might want to look at them if you're curious, but they are not currently mainstream medical knowledge/practices. |
