LVG, ah?
I've gotta say, as a neutral he's always good entertainment value but obviously a huge risk. Personally if you can't get Silva I'd give Unsworth till the end of the season and think about getting a proper replacement in the summer. You're not looking good but I think you're just about strong enough to beat the drop. And if Unsworth isn't working out, there's always Pulis now Watched Spurs v Dortmund. Who knows how long Spurs' run will last but they're looking the real deal in the CL this year. |

Did you guys see this already? This is a nice example of the level of Dutch football at the moment:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVhO828R7cQ is there a Fifa award for best own goal of the year?

Thankfully he's ruled himself out. I agree with you that Unsworth should stay til the end of the season. It's not gonna be a pretty rest of the season, but get to the summer and managers will be more willing to move. That's the theory anyway, this being Everton they'l mess it up somehow. Watched the Liverpool game last night. Fuck me, how Moreno is STILL playing is beyond me. He's had a few acceptable games recently then comes out with that 2nd half farce. That's not to take anything away from how mentally fragile the rest of the team are though.

I watched the highlights and it's the same old story. as good as their forwards are, Klopp's whole attitude puts too much pressure on them to outscore whatever better opponents will put past them at the other end. Even Pep seems to have learnt from last season but Klopp just seems destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. I don't know if i've seen a manager that tactically naive. Keegan maybe, and look what happened to him.

Problem is that they'll win their next game comfortably and all will be forgotten.

I dunno. The fans maybe but I think the owners might be wondering now if Klopp's actually holding them back. Would anyone say they've really moved forward since sacking Rodgers? They may be more entertaining now (although even that's debatable) but I'd say if anything their chances of winning a major trophy are even less now. Not that they were exactly massive with Rodgers but you know what I mean. Take away Salah, Coutinho and Mane and this Liverpool look crap, basically.

Christ, listening to the reports we might both be enjoying away days at Brentford next season.

I've actually not watched much more of the Bundesliga. Mainly cos I was watching the Friday games and I'm a busy bee at the moment. I'll get back onto it this week I suspect.

Aw man, so that's that. Genuinely pleased for Unsworth and loved the Everton fan's singing his name at the end. Also Rooney's 1st Everton hat-trick.
West Ham are fucked. |

That Rooney goal was just something else. El symbols not you can find it go watch it. They needed that win desperately. I just don't get how players how suddenly decide "yeah, THIS week I'm gonna actually try" after being pants for so long *looks at Ashley Williams*
As for West Ham, I don't half feel bad for the fans and Moyes. Not the players. There are too many wankers stealing a wage and tonight highlighted that. Everrton have been fucking dire the last few weeks but at the very least they turned up tonight. West Ham (save for 10 minutes on the second half) couldn't muster that. And a shitty run coming to

Rooney's goal was great but what in the name of fuck was Hart doing clearing it to the centre of the park? I've given up now. Moyes must be wondering what he's signed up for. After Sunderland this is the same: a club in free-fall. The players' attitude is beyond a joke, the board disgust me. They're ruined, from top to bottom I only hope Pep shows some humility at the weekend because if Everton can put 4 past us, what could DeBruyne, Sterling, Silva, Sane, Jesus, Aguero do if they're let off the leash?
And what made last night even worse was seeing Big Sam there, with his trademark smirk, loving every minute of it. Ordinarily I'd wish Everton well but seeing Sam lose his record for keeping teams up will likely be the only pleasure I'll get this season. And god only knows what state we'll be in next season. |
