Not sure how I want to feel about this, but I had someone tell me that they fear that something will happen to Biden, or he'll suddenly fall ill, and Harris will be shuffled into POTUS, and that thought is scaring them.

Yeah, that was something that Demonrail on here was saying as soon as Harris got the vice president job. Also why he wouldn't back Biden. Not sure how likely it is to happen though. Think we can all agree he's only doing one term though, right?

Depends on whether the Democrats go with "now that we have power again, we can put in strong, progressive legislation in order to deal with the problems that led to the Trump presidency and ensure it doesn't happen again" or "vote for us, we're better than them".

“Protests” are apparently planned at Capitol buildings in all 50 states. It’s properly horrifying to think about.

My god Bytor will be having absolute kittens about all this impeachment. Good to see some republicans have an actual backbone and have voted for it.

The silencing/shutting up of gobshite Trump on twitter has been perfect. Normally by now we'd be talking about the NEXT ridiculous thing he's said/done, distracting away from the storming of the capitol building. Only wish it had been done a lot bloody sooner.

Six Republicans have already voted to impeach Trump - the most ever from one party again a president of that same party.

Previous record: five Democrats vs Bill Clinton in 1998.

Says it all I think.

Easy to believe on term amount, simply based on age and how aging the position can be within the span of 4 years. I suspect being POTUS for one term takes 8-12 years off your life.
