"The Road" with Viggo Mortensen.
It was good, kind of Fallout-like.

hells yeah. I love Tarantino. Always have. I don't care what anyone says. Reservoir Dogs - 4/5 Pulp Fiction - 5/5 Jackie Brown - 3/5 Kill Bill Volume 1 - 4/5 Kill Bill Volume 2 - 5/5 Death Proof - 4/5 Inglourious Basterds - 4/5 and for extra credit: True Romance - 4/5 Natural Born Killers - 4/5 Four Rooms - 3/5 From Dusk Till Dawn - 5/5 and: I wish My Best Friend's Birthday existed. I haven't seen the CSI two-parter that he directed yet.

Pretty decent ratings NR but definitely 3/5 is to low for Jackie Brown. I haven't seen Basterds yet so I can't rate it. Does he get any credit for Hostel? Also the trailer for Machete?

he only produced (gave $) Hostel. And Machete is by Eli Roth, not Tarantino.

isn't it by robert rodriguez? i mean, danny trejo is in every one of his movies. at least the machete feature film will be rodriguez's, i guess. jackie brown is one of my favorite films ever; love the mixed up plot, love the characters, the acting, the shots, the music. i guess it's hard to relate for some people since it doesn't have gore or a lot of action and the central characters are older types and (mostly) black. underrated movie. ---- by the way, last two i saw were monty python and the holy grail (claaaassic!!) and --speaking of rodriguez-- once upon a time in mexico; it was entertaining, very tarantino-esque in that he took mexploitation (like quentin has with samurai, kung fu, blaxploitation, gangster, war, tracheotomy, etc. movies) and made it his own with a big budget and hollywood actors. |
