It really was unbearable. I could almost like it ironically.. like, who the fuck thought of this was a good idea? But Jennifer Lopez is too ugly for me to take seriously.
The Adjuster - 9/10 One of the most compelling and weird films I've seen in a while. |

Yeah, it looks like a grower. I didn't really come away from it with the same feeling I got from Tetsuo or Tokyo Fist (or even A Snake of June!). But it was still enjoyable and none of it really dragged.

I think all his films are growers. The only one that blew me away from the first viewing was Fist.

Survive Style 5+ is a modern masterpiece! One of the few 2+ hour Japanese films that never gets boring. I actually have bought that movie 3 times, because I showed it to my ex-girlfriend once, and then her cousin once, and both loved it so much that I ended up giving my copies to them! I highly reccomend Taste of Tea also, which is similiarly fucked up and fun.
watched these over the weekend: Killing Zoe - 4/10 Moog:The Documentary - don't rate docs, but it was too short Death Race 2000 - 5/10 All THis Time - 5/10 and body melt - 8/10 the hanging garden - 9/10 the nostril picker - 5/10 About to rewatch American Movie (up there with Mule Skinner Blues and Gates of Heaven as my fav. documentary of all time), and rewatch Der Todesking and Schramm with the old lady. |

Oh, I started watching Russian Ark, but I wasn't really in the mood for it. But it's like a 2 hour movie that's all done in one shot, like Running Time and like how Rope is supposed to be. Kinda boring though.
