I ended up getting a used copy of Tomb Raider Legends for gamecube so I started in on that. I also got a copy of Mario Kart 64 but man it feels like a huge setback from Mario Kart Double Dash, graphics wise. Was gamecube really that huge of a step up in that department?

I don't know, but it needs to be made into a full-length game with a two player mode where one player controls Mario and one controls the blocks.

I tend to think this one gets much better with age. It was actually the first Zelda I owned back when it was released. But I found it much too hard. Very soon after I got the first Zelda, and fell in love with that one instead. But this is actually a damn good game.

Link To The Past is my favorite. Followed closely by Wind Waker. Honestly every game in the series is awesome in its own way.

I know! It is really hard. I think that's why I wanted to play it again, cuz even though I've had it for like 20 yrs, I don't think I ever beat it! There's a lot of strategy involved in the fighting. Almost like in Punch-Out, you need to watch the enemy's attack patterns and figure out how to block or counter so that you can safely attack them. It's not as easy as just hack n slash.

if you get a GBA rather than a DS then you can also play GB/GBC color games. Think about the library. It's way worth it, man.

Daayyumm, I just got a DS for Christmas, didn't know about this one. Quote:
Windwaker was awesome, makes me want to get a gamecube for that reason alone. I played it at my friend's place all the time and it's my favorite Zelda that I've tried set in a 3d environment. That's why I want to get Phantom Hourglass, it's basically the same concept as windwaker. |
