"I Don't Wanna Go There", wow, it's definitely on my list of favorite songs ever.

Why do some people love Bug so much? I think it's one of the weaker Dinosaur records. The much underrated first record smokes it. In fact, I think it's second only to YLAOM. ~Jeremy~

I've never been the BIGGEST Dino Jr fan, but I was listening to Bug the other day and kind of digging it. So I was sort of looking forward to listening to this new album...and man, it's crap. Bug is so much more interesting...less guitar solo driven. This sounds more like Creed.

This is the modern, reformed Dino Jr, not the late 80s one. And as such, Farm is pretty much the perfect album for them. "I Don't Wanna Go There" is fucking amazing live, fucking amazing. This album is Dinosaur Jr making the music they want to make now and not trying to rehash "Freak Scene". Yeah, there are a lot of solos, but damn, at least it's J and not some shit metal guitarist. The solo(s) on "IDWGT" are some of the best he (or anyone) have ever done. There's really nothing else like them.

Yeah, I love J's solos. I don't get why people complain about Dino having too much solos. It's dinosaur, that's what they are. Go listen to another band if you don't like them.

I haven't listened to it yet. Just the song on pitchfork and the new music video. I love both of those songs so far.

upon a second listen, it has some good songs, and some bad, dragging-a-case-of-lead-rocks songs; but it's better than the beyond.
and yeah, it kinda has a feeling of sadness through out. |

Bug is serious quit a crappy record, it never makes a point and the songs are weak(expect freakshow).
I like Green Mind, Dinosaur and Where Have You Been way better then that one. |

I don't like Farm at all.
Less than Beyond, and Beyond isn't that great. |

I listened to it once and didn't care much for it, there was a weird pop slant to the songwriting that struck me as awkward, but I may like it better when I get around to listening to it again.
