But Snatcher has always alluded me.

Actually, Return to castle wolfenstien was a pretty good game too. I haven't managed to kill the last big boss (Heinrich III or what the fuck was his name). Good atmosphere.

Resident Evil 2 was the shit. Definitely the spookiest game of the series. One of the creepiest things was when you stood on the roof of the police station and could hear the collective howl and moan of every zombie in the city. Then crows attack you! I loved reading the diaries of the dead citizens too, it was so deliciously macabre.

oh yes shit. no reasident evil game in my top 10....I love them, especially part 2, too.

For me the series lost its charm once it left Raccoon City. It got too fantastical. The best thing about the early games was the story of the city with the corrupt police chief and the weird murders and all that. Oh and this bit where the zombies crash through the window!

Talking survival horrors, I don't think anything will ever beat Alone in the Dark 1.
That game was scary.
