I've been listening to nothing but Sonic Youth the past couple of weeks. Bought some of their albums about a year ago but I've just bought some more. Great band, with some great songs but imo there is a lot of filler on most SY albums. Anyways my favs:

Schizophrenia
Teenage Riot
Trilogy
Tom Violence
Star Power
Mote
Genetic
Incinerate
On the strip
Superstar - I owe the film Juno for this one
Sunday

I still have a lot of SY songs I haven't heard yet so this list could change a lot. In fact this list could change daily or even hourly.

There is a SY song for every mood and state of mind.

P.S. I really don't get why so many SY fans rate Eric's Trip so highly......each to their own but I don't get it's popularity. Peace.

I thought it wasn't very popular, I was the only one to put it in my top 10 (I think), everyone else had Hey Joni or Rain King.

Ive only really began to take note of sonic youth tunes recently and dont have any albums... but from the ones i have heard online, my favourites are:

Bull in the heather
100%

I also like: disappearer, Kool thing, tunic, purr, sugar kane... ahh there are too many!
